I'm Interested in getting one and wondering if it works well with D30. How about picture sharpness?

Quotation from Canon's web site :
"The D30 uses all EF lenses without restrictions or limitations. That's over forty current lenses and nearly 100 since the series began in 1987! Enhance your collection of lenses. Each lens tells a different story."
IMHO sharpnes shouldn't be an issue with Canon lenses in other words the quality of that lens should be "good enough" :)

Ernestas,

I used to have one of these lens. I would not recommend it for picture quality. It _is_ light and inexpensive, but quality is not good particularly at 300mm.

I think you would become quickly dissatisfied, if you were to buy this lens.

Regards,

The quality of a lens is in practice sometimes relative. Of cause if the price is meaningless you can think that only absolute quality counts.
