Wow the first one is awesome and incredably sharp, what lens did you use, what settings and what light?

The second looks a bit noisy but still nice

Thank you very much:) I had to save the second one at a lower quality to get it in the file size limit...I reposted it a little smaller, it looks a little better I think. It is really clean IRL:)

Ok, I used my 30d with my 24-70L lens
Ab-400 with 50x50 Westcott Apollo and a large reflector opposite:)

Thanks so much for looking....I wish I could share more, I was able to get a bunch of cute ones eventhough he had just had his 6 month shots, poor guy. He was a trooper though:)

Cari, again I am impressed with your work. I really enjoy viewing your photos and would love to see more. Do you have your own studio? I would love to learn more of your lighting techniques. I hope to achieve what you have one day. Thanks

Those are very nice shots but oversharpened for my taste. To each his own I suppose...

Thanks again everyone:)

Todd- I agree- my sharpen for web action throws it over the top a little. They are not sharpened like this for print:)

I kind of agree with that statement. Didn't strike me immediately but the more I looked, the more both pictures looked as though the baby was placed on a seperate background.

I'm not too keen on giving him a mohawk look on the second. I would have prefered it with the hair left flat. He won't thank you for that in years to come :)

Otherwise, especially with your reply regarding less sharpening for print, these will most likely become reminders of happy days. The backdrop does give the impression that they were taken in a 'professional' studio.
