I know digital backdrops are most of the time not the greatest thing and look quite fake.. however I kinda like it in this shot... but do you think the bride would enjoy this?

Not a bride myself.. but no.. if maybe it was a crisper image and could made to look sort of real.. maybe.. but not a airbrushed something no.

i might keep her in color and grayscale everything else

Honestly? No.

It's very overexposed and background doesn't do it for me.

No. The blending looks fake, her head is a funny shape, and it just doesn't look right. I'd at least make her look the other way.

One word: Gross.

Sorry, but it just looks bad and amateurish.

k guys, thanks I appreciate it. Didnt have to call it gross but I appreciate the other inputs. Like I said I know it looks fake, I was just wondering what others think.
I am taking the pic off now

But the great thing is, your experimenting and trying something different.

Big respect.

Well like a lot of us we have probably purchased some of those digital backgrounds on eBay or other locations and I honestly have had a problem making them look right and real. Maybe there is a trick to it that I am not aware of.. but I have used a Chromakey background, studio lights, and Photoshop CS2 and I haven't been happy with the results and them still looking good.

I admit it may be my skill in photography or Photoshop, the background I attempted to use.. or it could just mean digital backdrops weren't meant to be used in portrait photography. Who knows.

I agree with Arnie though.. thanks for trying something different... i usually don't associate backdrops to wedding photography in the first place.. but that could just be me and my inexperience at this point too.
