i'm really a beginner...well, long time photo hound, but new owner of a digital slr, so i'm shooting EVERYTHING. however, i'm also a motocrosser, and occaisionally i take the 20d to the track so i get TWO kinds of practice. here's one of a buddy railing a texas berm....

Totally agree, but they hardly get any comments/feed back around here.

Nice shot, looks a tiny bit oversaturated on my monitor but that could be me :)

Just changing to ISO100 would have bought the shutter down to 1/250th at f6 for the "proper" blur :)

But as you don't really see much of the wheel I like the roost effect at 1/1000th :D

right on. looking at it on my work monitor, i agree - a bit oversaturated. the colors are pretty bright in reality - matt's gear has flo orange on it, and that yamaha blue is pretty electric, but i definitely have a lot to learn about how to get the right look in photoshop. that one came out of elements 4.0, actually.

Nice shot, i agree, its a litte oversaturated, but it makes it look even better in my opinion.;)

By the way, which part of Texas are you from?

I am also a Texas motocross racer/photo monkey.

I'm thinking about moving to Austin. Are these MX races anywhere around there? I know NOTHING about Texas lol!

i live in the d-f-w, and the shot was taken at a track north of town about 1.5 hours. used to live in austin, and there are several good tracks down that way. austin is a great town!
