Anyone knows the differences between the 2 lenses?
I did a search and all posts refer to the Tamron DI version and not the non DI.
Anyone has some pics with the non-DI?
Thinking of getting a macro instead of the 85 f1.8 or the 70-200 f4. :)
Thanks

Di has a coating to help reduce reflected light off the sensor to minimize ghosting and other internal reflective issues.

I believe the lenses are completely different in design. The non Di is an older design and I think it's not for sale anymore. The Di version is probably the sharpest 100mmish macro out there.

Thanks Dante King and Tee Why. I saw the non-DI version for around $250 and thinking of picking it up but don't know the differences. But now I just got the 200 f2.8, no more funds for the Macro :(

Probably marketing, to be honest. Sigma did this with the DG versions, and I have yet to see a diff between the DG versions and non-DG, unless the older version was a crap lens to start with.
But i have the non DG 120-300, and it performs just as well if not better.
