... Something like the Epson P-2000/P-4000.
Some months ago, I answered a Canon survey about such devices, which gave me the clear impression that Canon was/is (planning on) developing something similar.
I just wondered if any of you folks "in the know" had heard of anything regarding this. The P-4000 has recently come down in price (I've just seen it for £350); but, if I thought that there'd be a Canon competitor coming out soon, I'd definitely be tempted to wait.
Cheers,

This is the first I've heard of it, but Ni*on has (had?) one, so there could be something in the wings from Canon.
With the holiday season approaching, and Photokina as well, if it is coming we should hear about it soon. Give it until mid-September and we should know one way or the other.
If Canon does market something I will take a good, hard look at it, as my Flashtraxx is getting a little long in the tooth.
Have Fun,

I would like to see a portable storage unit that used a dummy CF card that sent the files wirelessly and had a 5 or 7" high quality screen and around 100gb of storage, $699.
I'd be all over it.

Looks okay. No mention about the speed of the file transfer however....
