Well, it looks like I just got committed to a huge project at my job, which will be taking me from Dallas, TX to Vancouver, British Columbia every week for the next year....*sigh*. I figured while I was up there, I would take the opportunity and use photography as a way to keep myself busy after work, and keep me away from the hotel.
So, for any of you native Vancouver-ites, can you suggest some places for photo opportunities.

Get to the airport and walk outside.
Literally. I'm moving away and am horrifed at the lack of subjects where I am going.
BBD. go to www.jasonhollister.com/images/ and almost everything except the TCI folder is shot here. It's limitless.

Get out of metro and shoot historical New Westminster, motorsports at Mission raceway, sea to sky highway for ocean and mountian vistas, downtown east side for gritty people shots, Steveston for boats, skateparks in Burnaby etc etc.
Ride the Skytrain and get off when you see something you want.
I smell potn meet in Vancouver. Too bad I'll be gone.

Thanks for the advice guys, as I do appreciate it. Being from Dallas, there's not much to shoot landscape wise. The first of many flights start next week. It should be a nice break from this hot weather we have down here in Texas.
I already called American Airlines and enrolled for my platinum challenge. I should make Platinum status in a month.

You should take the opportunity to get them up there. Vancouver is a great place to get introduced to the finer points of the Great White North.

Oh, I imagine that I'll be bringing them up at least once or twice. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Having spent 6 months there, I can confirm that Vancouver is a great place! If you're into birding, try going to Reifel bird sanctuary and the Delta/Boundary bay area.. Plenty to see there. A good idea would also be to climb (or take the cable car ;-) ) on Grouse Mountain.. Have a look at my website (http://didier.di.funpic.de) for some ideas ;-)
[edit] seeing your sig, I realised that you may not be that much into birding. But those are still nice places to go to ;-)
