as i run a music website i often get given lots of demo cd's when i'm out and about and typically end up having to hold them or stuff them in a jacket pocket.

looking at the sliplock system for my micro trekker 200 i think i could have a second add-on bag that i could put them in but i'm not sure if any of the ones they sell would be big enough to hold about 6 cd's in full size cases.

if anyone uses the pouches could you please try putting some cd's in and let me know if this is a viable use.

looking at the lowepro.co.uk site i'm guessing i'll need the pouch 60 aw. although i dont know if that may be too big either.

any input on my question or just general discussion about the sliplock system is more than welcome.

cheers
Ciq.

I've just tried it with a Sliplock Pouch 50AW, and 6 jewel cases fit perfectly with the hinge either at the top or bottom (in other words, you put the long axis of the case vertically). I'd go for the 50AW rather than the 60AW as it's a touch deeper and it fits snugly around the cases. The 60AW is not as deep and I suspect the cases will rattle around because it's wider and taller.

Just trying to think outside the box a bit. Why not use EAC/LAME to rip the CDs and listen to it via MP3 player? An iPod can carry a few thousand songs.

oh i use mp3's but this is for cd's that i am physically given when i am out. i meet a lot of up and coming musical artists who give me copies of their demo's. this is so i have space to chuck them in the bag until i get them home and ripped to mp3.

@davidw: thanks, thats exactly what i was after. i shall have to get one of them on order :)
