Hi
i really need help.
My G3 LCD suddenly stopped working.
I see everything very very very dark. (and its not connected to the LCD brightness function on the menu)
does anybody knows what it could be???

Do you have your exposure compensation set on -2?

Are you in the manual mode with a dark exposure set in?

and its dark from the moment im turning it on

Maybe the LCD backlight has clapped out?

Is EVERYTHING dark, including menus and the startup picture?

I had the same thing happen to my G3 not too long ago. I turned it on and no image on the LCD and no menu functions came up either. I turned it on and off repeatedly. The lens would function and zoom and the flash worked as well. Just on a long shot I plugged it into the recharger cord and waited a few minutes and voila! I was back in business. Key word is "waited". I tried it immediately after plugging it into AC power and it did not work, but after a few minutes to let the battery recieve some juice all was well when I turned it on. I then turned it off(happy it was working again) and allowed it to take a full charge. I normally keep it at full charge and even top off the charge if I leave it unused a couple of days, but something I did must have discharged it to a level low enough that the LCD would not function. It has worked just fine since then. I hope this is all that happened to your camera....good luck!

at last i opened the LCD, and I fount there a little wire that wasn't connected.
so I weld it, and now the LCD is working good
