I like the idea. I think it would work better if you had either the front or back of the ship instead of the entire body. Kinda hard to get a perspective of it. Also, I think it would be improved if you cropped the shore line near the bottom.

I'm a big fan of the silhoette/sunset pics though.

i would almost think if you could darken the cruise ship, so it is more of a siloet (typo?)

I agree with both these responses from above, crop the bottom quarter and darken the ship, other than that it's a pretty good image

I find I have trouble making it out. You could try 2 exposures and then blend in Photoshop.
