I ran out of daylight. I drove around for about and hour and a half to all my favorite spots for pictures but none of them were private enough, or there were too many other cars parked there. ugh... here's my only good one out of the 15 minutes that I shot because I ran out of daylight... C+C welcome :)

First the bad...
the focus might be a fraction of a hair soft (could be compression, might be lack of usm). I'm not a huge fan of your car.

Then the good..
You've done nice things to it, the wheels are nice, the seat is sharp, it's clean literally and figuratively. The location is great, the lighting is certainly good (perhaps a remote strobe or reflector would make it outstanding) The depth of field adds a polished quality to the photo.

Good job!

You've made it look pretty good IMO. Keep it up!

It's ok, you don't have to like the car :D I don't hear that much, but still it's ok, haha.

The focus could be off. I had a hard time focusing because it was dark. I had a PL filter on so it made even a littler darker through the view finder.

The main reason I've been dying for the 85mm F/1.8 is exactly for that...limited depth of feild. I think limited depth of feild really works well with cars.

My biggest thing is finding a good location. I'm typically drawn towards busy backgrounds, but this was always one of my more simplistic spots, besides I figured space between the subject and backdrop would show off the F/1.8 a little more :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. And just remember, I always like honestly when I post "C+C", and thank you, Matt for giving me just that :)

the entire shot feels flat to me. Mabye becasue of lighting, mabye PP. Also I dont know If I fancy the angle, If you would have gotten a bit lower it would bring out the details in the rims and show off the drop.
btw what mods?

Mods to the car?

BBS RX 17x7.5 ET35
Falken Azenis RT-615
Goldline springs
Cusco front tie bar
Cusco rear strut bar
JDM EVO 5 tailights
JDM lancer coupe front corner lights
Sparco speed seat
ViS Cf hood

Those are just the major mods, tons of little thing here and there.

I have a rear sway bar and tons of turbo parts laying around. Once I have the turbo stuff on in two months or so, I'm going to re-do the suspension with GC coil-overs and KYB AGX struts with Tein pillow mounts :)

and thank you, Matt for giving me just that "-Matt (always honest" had two user accounts (maybe to bump his own threads?), which is a violation of the forum rules, and as they say about Elvis, "...has left the building".

Yeah. The light that shot was taken in was perfect, but not 5 minutes after that the lights on the buidling behind the car where over bearing.

That IMO is the best lighting for a car, but when I said ran out of daylight, I ment ran out for more shots. Before I knew it it went from looking like 6pm to 2am. Sunsets too fast :(
