Just a couple of different takes on the monument.. Hope you like. C&C welcome.

(p.s. they've been saved down to jpeg twice now from the original RAWs, so please accept any loss of quality)

P.S. does anyone know how to add your name/signature to a photo?

I like that first one. I've seen a few pictures of the Eye, but never from that angle.

As for adding your signature, go into the Advanced Search page and search the "RAW, Post processing and printing" forum for the word "Watermark" and you'll get a whole bunch of help.

I like them both but the colors on the first seem too yellow to me. The second shot is fantastic! Great conversion.

Thanks for the comments :D

And thanks for the advice. I'm looking at Adobe Illustrator CS2 now to draw my own signature/watermarks in. Also will look to import some decent text.

Cheers 98photo. I also think the first one is a little off in terms of colour balance. I think it's more green than yellow though, because that's what it looks like when I print it out. I've edited somewhat though, and now the prints are much more accurate.

Thanks Tee Why :)

Not a big fan of the first but I do like the 2nd one alot. The eye is something I'd love to photograph.

If you want your actual signature, one way to do this is to create a brush "stamp". Here's how I did mine.

Write your signature with a Sharpie marker and scan it. Pull that up in Photoshop and perform a tight crop around it. Go to Image Size to see what size that is (needed for step 1) then do the below:

1) File-New (input desired sizes) -Transparent-OK
2) Open scanned signature and use Move Tool to place it over blank
layer
3) Adjust then turn off Move Tool
4) Select-All
5) Edit-Define Brush (input name) -OK

To use it, you'll set the foreground color you want then open the Brush Tool. Under Default brushes, mine is shown at the bottom of the list. Click on that then adjust the size, position and click.
That's it. Oh, make sure to select something else to turn the stamp off so you don't accidentally stamp it again.

BTW, your second shot is very nice.

The Eye has loads of photo opportunites indeed! You could spend a good few hours taking pictures there.

Thanks Robert :D

And thanks very much for the advice on signatures. I've never thought of it that way..... now to get a scanner :)

Or maybe I'll just take a picture of my signature on my camera? ;)
