I am not sure what to think. I feel like I may have lost some sharpness but picked up saturation. I am not sure how to adjust raw photos in CS2.
I also tried pre focusing and leaving the focus alone.
Here are some samples with the 70-200 shot manual exposed to a grey card.

Bill I think the look fine. The water in the wake is clear as it should be and the boy's skin tone apears to be dead on. They look good to me.
The boys look like they were having a good time.

Thanks, they did have fun.
I have to wonder if the CP helped? Normally the spray would be white.

Nice shots. In the bottom one the water seems to be reflecting the sky excessively which probably means that the polariser was simply not at 90' ( ie perpendicular ) to the sun - where it has it's maximum effect. In the top 2 the colour saturation is great.
The polariser acts a bit like an ND filter, losing between 1-2 stops of light depending on the degree of polarosation, and bearing in mind there are 2 bits of glass there, yes, you will lose some sharpness, but the benefits are huge.

look pretty sharp to me _ especially if you don't apply sharpening for the reduced web size.
