Hello, I'm new to taking care of my camera equipment, not that I don't take care of my stuff, its just all new stuff.
I was at a race track today and laid my camera on the bleacher beside me and someone spilled something and it got on the front of my lens and lens hood. It is now dried on, and was kind of chunky, not sure what it was, I'm afraid to know.
Anyways, I haven't done anything with it yet, I wanted to come home and post this question and find out how to properly clean it. The lens is a brand new Canon 70-200mm f/4L. My first "L" lens, I don't want to scratch the glass. I will need to moisten it to get it clean, do I just use water? Can I use any sort of cleaning solution? What do I wipe it with? I have a lens cleaning cloth that I bought with the lens.
Please advise.
Thank You,
