Cute pic, sympathetic subject and quite well posed. Technically the exposure, depth of field etc seem good.
overall a good job.
To improve it even more -
I would have got as much hair as possible off of the basket, you could still clone it out I guess, but it does distract a little.
I also wonder whether the lower puppies eyes could be a bit less hidden and/or more engaged with the viewer.
But these are minor points.

You know I didn't even notice the hairs until I was looking at the printed picture mounted on my wall. I spent so much time trying to get the background right and then trying to get the lighting right. By that point the dogs were off chewing on the side of the backdrop.
Your other point is also well taken. I tried different camera angles. This actually was the highest angle.
Thanks for the reply, I imagine everyone else is looking at this and stifling a gag reflex.
