I see there is one for sale it is the NON IS version. I was wondering what owners thought of this lens and its quality, it would be mounted on a 5D.
The guy is looking at $3100 NZD reserve

It's a great lens. On my 10D it had quick AF. And that was the 10D!!!!
Yes, I'm too lazy to find the file, because I think its on DVD right now, so that means extra work!!
But some photos when I got to test it out(not exactly the best post processed by my editors though.

I don't own it but I nearly bought one a couple years ago when I was in the market for a longer telephoto. Many regard this lens as sharper than the newer IS version. I've seen some outstanding images taken with it.

How heavy is the 300mm. Ive tryed a Sigma 120-300 and own a Bigma
Could it be handheld or is a monopod at a minimum?
