Let me know what you think of this one.

Here's my observations (certainly nothing personal here):
-Did you have any choices for a different background? Both the yellow line and green grass draw my eyes away from the car.
-The car looks soft, but without EXIF data it's hard to tell why (during the shot or post). -The large white background doesn't do much except overpower the image either.
-The pose is good for the driver but turn the wheel so you are shooting wheel and not tread.
-The color appears to be pretty good match from what I recall.

As a suggestion, you might try shooting above the car across the hood (from the passenger side) to get a different angle on things and less background. Thanks for sharing!

i agree with all of the above, and im pretty sure the lack of sharpness is down to an overly compressed jpeg image. my firefox says its 25.57 kB and 800px wide. try saving at higher qualities (10 upwards in photoshop), progressive. should keep alot more detail while keeping filesizes in the mid 100s.

I save all my pics at 8 on photoshop (for online use), 12 is the max.

Good start! As a "snapshot", it does the job. Nothing to distract from the subjects & it's well exposed. If you want to try something different, try this sometime:

It was the best venue I could find at the time, a high school parking lot with the school in the background. The original is a bit fuzzy because I didn't have my tripod, and it got fuzzier when I shrank it down to 800. I wanted to wait until sunset, but we were on a time schedule. I cropped it a bit from the original, too. See http://www.pbase.com/snakeriverscca/image/64831107/original and let me know what you think I could do differently.

and let me know what you think I could do differently. Hang around here & pick up a bit here & a bit there. My best advice is to do what makes you happy? ;)
