i know this shutter issue as been discussed many times before. i myself have started threads regarding num of clicks on the 350d.
canon could not give me any figures (they said thhey dont have any data on it), most people say anything between 20-000 to 50.000.
my question is what happens when it goes ??
does it just stop working, or do you get a warning when all sorts of strange things happen.
anybody had the pleasure (or not) of the 350 packing up.
care to share your experiences

Any number of things may happen: people have reported seeing light arcs across the frame, double-imaging for part of the picture, the secondary mirror hanging up. It may give you advance warning or it may just die.

well actually with a bit of luck it wont happen at all...unless you're looking for an excuse to upgrade :p

would be nice to upgrade, and have thought about it, but i think ill wait till this one goes.
but would be nice to know if and when, rather than having it go when say on holiday
