View Full Version : New printer, colour quality out!

For four years and until a couple of weeks ago, I had an Epson Photo 750. I was extremely glad with the colour quality. It was simple to print good albums straight from the camera to the Photo Record and to the printer.

Two weeks ago, its injectors failed and I purchased a new one (this time an Epson Photo 950, theoretically much better than the previous one). The prints are as sharp than with the 750, but the colour has changed (looks more magenta). I have tried out everything, from using Colour Management to modify the original colours to match what is seen on the screen. Now, I cannot print correctly my pictures, because when I find a good colour modification for a landscape, this does not work well with portraits, etc.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Josep

What did you do exactly with colour management?
On which type of paper are you printing?
Are you using original Epson inks?
What software do you use for printing?

If you're asking yourself “My prints don’t look like what I see on my monitor. What should I do?”, have a look at the following article: http://luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/monitor_profiling.shtml
