Nice shot! I'm new to photography and I'm devouring as much information as I can find. Could you tell me what the settings on your camera were in this shot? Which mode you shot it in (M,P,Av,Tv)Shutter speed, f/Stop, ISO settings, any filters etc?
I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Instead of jpg, I use RAW format to take photo, so that you have more space to change the exposure later.
I am newbie on night photography too, but I learn that it's better to use as low ISO as possible to reduce noise and use Tripod is a must. The advantage of use DC is you can view the outcome after shoot, so that you can change the shutter speed and f/stop to take again.
Hope this help. :)

That does help, thanks. What was the aperture setting and the shutter speed? I'm guessing a high F number and quite a slow shutter?

Sorry for stupid question , does lot of South Africa people (white people only?) have internet access? Any local photography forum like this one?

It's not a stupid question, don't worry. Check out www.outdoorphoto.co.za. It's a South African forum just like this one.
South Africa has the fastest growing middle class on the planet. That's a fact. The result of which is that many black South Africans have Internet access. Sure, not as many as white South Africans at this point in time, but that will all change in the future. Most employed people have access to the Internet at work even if they don't have private Internet connections at home.
