Some shots from last saturday wedding. How would you do the group shot at night with a background like this one??. It was to hard for me, I used a tripod on this one, but finally I got some keepers.

lovely, I think I prefer the night shot in colour, just because you get more of a sense that's it night time. And I really like 3.
How did you set up your night shot out of curiosity?!

My setting was 20D on a tripod and the 580EX on camera (straight to the subject). There was a tungsten light (not mine) a their right (see the shadows) that gave some trouble since I was thinking in a long exposure to get the background lights and then "freeze" the people with flash, but It did not work. At the end, it was the main light. The 580 was for fill.
This background was very important for them since they had chosen this place for their celebration because the front river view.
This shot was at 0.4s , f/4.5, 400ISO, 28mm. ETTL Flash FEC -2.
Next time I will try higher ISO and faster shutter speed.

Great shots! I couldn't have done a better shot in the dark... I love the pic of the groom with the split lighting. =)

Thanks for the comment. I think this is not a easy shot, because is a lot of people involved (17), It was really hot at that time (Florida Summer), and I tried 4 differents setting for the shutter speed, aperture and flash. They were not happy there waiting for me to get the right shot. But at the end B/G are happy with the results.

I like the color one better as well - nice. I also really dig the groom shot...sharp, perfectly exposed and classy.

With all the circumstances your group shot worked well. I must say I do love the groom shot also.

Did you use the 70-200 on that night shot? If so, how far back where you and what zoom did you shoot at approximately?
Awesome shots btw. The church shots simply rule! :)

No, on this night shot I used the Tamron 28-75mm (0.4s , f/4.5, 400ISO, 28mm. ETTL Flash FEC -2.)
