Welcome to the forum Jazzi. The date and time are recorded in the cameras EXIF data which can be viewed in the Canon ZoomBrowser. If you open the picture in ZoomBrowser and choose properties, you will see shooting time, date, exposure info, etc.

Sorry, I disagree with the initial post. Pictures should not have dates printed on them..it ruins the picture. As mentioned above, the date is stored in teh exif file. Just a personal opinion.

True, dates on photos just screams of the cheap compact camera days..

Thanks for welcoming ...... :>

... i totally agree that it ruins memorable pictures, what triggered me to think about it is Windows Explorer file properties does not show the capture date :( ..... I thought to get them printed on pictures is not worse than not knowing when it was captured at all.

knowing exif file properties relieves so much

wonderful !!

The program showed all cool information about each picture !! many thanks to all :)

what's about other utilities, can they still read (exif) information? like IrfanView or others?

........ IrfanView can do it!

while viewing the picture, press (i) key, then click on "EXIF info" button ...... :-)

If you right-click a file and choose "Properties" then "Summary" and "Advanced", you'll see the general EXIF data. If you choose "View | Choose Details", one of the details you can choose is "Date Picture Taken"; then it'll show in Details View or you can sort pictures by date picture taken.

the date will only show on postcard mode (or whatever it is called)...

i agree that pictures with date does not look good.
