I know this is an old camera. I do have a new A540 but would like to have this one back as a field unit.
I have had this A60 for a few years and it has just recently been having a few problems. Occasionally, a few months ago the screen would be about 30-40% covred with white lines, like static noise. That has since corrected itself but i didn't know if it were possibly connected to the problem I am having now. A few weeks ago I dropped the camera, while in its gray soft-case onto relatively soft grass and dirt. It was about a three foot drop. The camera still turns on with no problem and seems to work as far as options and such but it will not display anything or record. It is just a blank screen (with whatever options I have selected). It does display images that are already on various memory cards. I have tried to resetting everything to defaults and even tried dropping it again. Nothing works.
Can anyone offer some suggestions on this problem, please?
