I am going to be wearing my little Media pass tag and doing the photography for the Pittsburgh Import Fusion.

Should be fun..not really into those type of cars with all the stickers and wings..But I am doing this to get my name out there more and such..Plus I get to go backstage and all and meet the bikini girls and porn stars...LOL

So I am sure I can do way better then the 2005 photos..Anyone takes a look at them will see they musta been done by a 6yr old.

I guess I am gonna be buying that 430ex on friday for sure now.
Kinda wish I had that Tokina 12-24 I want..but I am sure I will do ok

I dont know what they are...I sure wouldnt want them on my site to portray the way it looked last year to get people wanting to come to the next year.

well most likely the Tamron...and the 70-200 for the bikini contest..There will msot likely be alot of room between cars cause they dont get AS many and the place is HUGE..so i will have plenty of room to move around to take the photos

it's a car show right? Ladies are nice but a number of them were out of focus and a number were so bad I laughed. A profile of a dude and a big crowd behind him.. THAT's a highlight..

have fun man, ANYTHING you do will be better than the 2005 photos.

Wow! Poorly composed, poorly exposed, uninteresting, unfocused. I got the biggest kick out of the one shot in portrait orientation and not rotated before posting. Can't wait to see the 2006 photos.

By the way, how did you happen to get the job? Is it paid?

I was joking aroun sending them an email saying..the 2005 photos are subpar, bad compostition, underexposed, overexposed...and I sent them some shots I did and said would you like them done right..LOL

then they sent back asking what i would want as in how much paid....I never said a # and will send me a media pass.
I wasnt expecting at all for them to say yes

I wish you great success! Maybe you could rent a UWA? Even with your media badge, if you have to use your foot zoom to get full width (length) shots of the cars, you may have people walking into the frame. Of course, maybe 3/4 shots will alleviate somewhat.

well I took these with my 70-200...LOL I had to do alot of foot work but they worked out very nicely

Congrats on landing the job. Those 2005 shot are mostly horrible. You said you wished you had the Tokina 12-24, why don't you check around and see if you can rent a lens. If not that one maybe a 17-40. Try PPR (http://www.ppratlanta.com/), I have rented from them before. They are in Atlanta and will ship to you. There is also a member of this forum that rents lenses. Look in the Market watch section for the link. Just a thought.

I would rent the Tokina...its just I dont think it would get here by sat..and I gotta buy my 430ex sooner then expected for the show. So I didnt have that much extra

Those 2005 shots SUCK... I've seen better cell-phone shots on Myspace. The framing sucked, the compositions sucked, basically everything just sucked. Your shots looked pretty cool though!
