Visiting London Sept 1 & 2 - what to see/photograph?

I have a business trip to London planned for 8/28 - 8/31 and tacked on Friday and Saturday after for sightseeing & photography. I am up for a meeting with a group of POTN members for photo ops if anyone is interested. I would also appreciate POTN recommendations of "don't miss" activities or places to visit if you can't get together.

I would get a guide book and choose mainly based on your own preferences, at least for one of the days, because to be honest there are 10,001+ things to see. The colour Eyewitness guides tend to be very useful for pure sightseeing. If you meet other POTN folks then that would be nice too.

Thanks, condyk. I knew that would be the case. One of the guys travelling with me is from Middlesboro? (I think that's right) but he is not a photographer. Someone suggested a bus tour for a few hours early on my first free day to get a quick look at the standard tourist sights and get a feel for what I want to go back to with more time. I think I may do that. I'll take a look at the guides as well - good suggestion. Looks like a trip to the bookstore at lunch...
