I figure it has to be somebody here! I was waiting for my 3 B+W 77 mm filters (2 circ. pol, 1 UV-0), 2 lens pens, 3 lens cleaning cloths I'd ordered Thursday eve (bbefore their power outage). What arrived was Canon 100-300 EF, Nifty Fifty, 67 mm Houya circ. polarizer, 58 mm Tiffen circ. polarizer, and 52 mm circ. polarizer. Sound familiar to anyone?

LOL!
If I give you a forwarding adress do you need proof of purchase?
I need some lenses to go with the flash I got on the weekend.
I know I can use reverse the nifty in front of my A80 to get some nice Macros (useing the 550 and an optical trigger for lighting).
The filters I can also use with a suitable adaptor, but I don't what Ill do with the 100-300, I think the DOF might be a bit shallow if I reverse it in front of the A80.

Hmm...can you log in on B&H and track your order? Is the number right but the items wrong?

More to the point... did you get charged for the lenses you got? If that's a negative then i'd hang on to them, delete this thread and try my luck. 2 months later they'd be on FleaBay.
Sorry if that's un-ethical... but... er... Nah, I aint sorry really!!!

Is this the post you are planning to show your wife to justify what you got ;)
Hmmmmm......that's not a bad plan.

I'm surprised that no one has laid claim to it yet. Surely we must be the only B&H customers in the world....hehehe...Imagine the surprise of the person that got your order....they have all the tools to clean the lenses that they don't have.

Maybe I'll place a standing instruction for a filter every month and wait for a mixup:evil:
Who knows, it may be the cheapest way to get my 100-400 :)

I could be wrong but depending on the B+W filters Jon had orderd they very well could be worth more than these Lens and Tiffen filters.

I ordered something from Adorama for $70. I don't think that's the one, Jon, but you can forward the stuff to me for a while and I'll deal with B&H. :) ;)
Hope you get your order, though. Someone's really ticked off out there.

All the paperwork was right - just didn't match anything (else) in the box. I even got the right invoice for what I ordered, not what I got.

Even the UV costs more than Nifty (77 mm multicoateds aren't cheap). B&H is sending me a return shipping label so I won't be out of pocket on the deal.

I just feel sorry for the poor guy who needed the lenses for vacation!
So you've abandoned the Hoya filters Jon ... :confused:More that I'm standardizing on one brand so I don't need to worry about minor colour variations or other inconsistencies, especially on polarizers. I'm not replacing any of my existing Hoya filters, but I really need polarizers for all the Zoom Troika, and I started those with B+W. My smaller diameter filters are all Hoya.

Jon _ off topic a slight bit. Do you notice any difference in color between the Hoya Super Pro series and the B+W circular polarizers?

I'll have to get back to you on that - most of the Hoya polarizers date back to my film days, so they're at least 20 years old. I have seen differences among varouus brands (specifics escape me here) of UV or Skylight filters. Won't get to it tonight because I have to hit the UPS store so B&H gets a shot at sending out the right order tomorrow.

Then you should get it Monday or Tuesday since I'm RMAing it tonight. Unless you can demonstrate that you have my order to swap for it.
