Nice series Warren -- as always ;-) I wonder how many sets of tyres these guys go through in a season... it must put a dent on the pocket... good thing with us photogs -- big dents in our pockets for our gear... but we have something to show for ;-)

Thanks for the comments.. The 2x wasn't too bad at all.. Just slightly softer than usual. Still, 600mm gave some awesome reach. It was only a Kenko, so possibly not as good as a made for Sigma, Sigma 1.4tc.

yeah that is the sevs wheel apparantly. ALWAYS remember to tighten your wheel nuts yourself :)

I almost wound up doing that once... Bought a tyre, they put it on for me, drove on it for a day, and then the car started wobbling... They hadn't tightened the wheel nuts!

Awesome shots, as always Wazza.

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

The RX7 shot was funny when I was reviewing them on the computer... I happened to see the wheel in the background, although the car is slightly soft, it was just too funny not to share.. He stopped pulling into pit lane... As there would have been extra resistance... Looked at back rear.. and then had a big puzzled look and started look for the wheel nearby... He had actually dropped it over over 500metres before, 3 corners away!!

Damn nice shots there! Impressive!

Definitly feel sorry for the RX7, did you see whether there was much damage caused?

Yeah the girl driving the white S15... Fanga Dan's car, who is the current championship leader after 3 of 6 rounds, was some girl. :p - I heard her name, but it was slightly different. She's definately from Driftcorp in Northland.

Lizard: lucky you felt the looseness before the wheel came off! I've seen a car driving along with a wobbly back rear.

Andrew: Thanks, I text the driver, as he was interested in seeing the shots, and was waiting for me to put them online... So I checked it was ok, and no damage to the brake.. Surprisingly no damage.. Nothing else was in contact with the ground, including the chassis, body work, exhaust, with only the solid brake disc in contact. If only there was some sparks to make it even more impressive.

Thanks also Jamie. :)

There's a few more offs in the galleries,
