This is typical urban neighborhood street. Usually more traffic.

Bikes, pedicabs and motorbikes main transportation. Bus and taxi go slow.

Fascinating activity on this street. My eye is drawn to the man with a bag walking by the curb.

No great trick to make this black white. I desaturate, change bright and contrast untill it look right to me. I sharpen at end.

Lovely shot - so much of interest. I'd be tempted with a a crop to draw the old guy out and lose the empty space bottom right - maybe cutting off the lamppost and the scooter

Wow, I liked it before but GNW's take on the scene is wonderful! But he couldn't have done it without a fantastic original product!

I actually think I've overdone it slightly and you've lost a bit of the detail in the shop signs but you get the idea . . .

But you lose honesty of situation. I shoot for homesty not beauty.
Original field of view match human field of vision.

Thanks for your comment and your interest. Everyone have di\fferent view and idea. i enjoy your crop and your interest.

See, first camera was Canon FTBn with 135mm prime. i shoot with that for years only.

Then i find 35mm FD and shoot with that for long time. Then i shoot 18mm and discover wideangle.

large width of blank space bother me at first then i think that is how picture look. why crop?

China Daily crop life out of pictures, so i love space. Americans had jazz musiciam Miles davis who used time and space to convey message. For him, the space and silence as important as many notes. For me, my free pictures a lot like miles music. Space means something.

China very populate. Space mean something.

But this what I love about share picture. We share vision. We share life.

Thank you for show. Thank you for share.

I too stopped first to look at the man carrying watermelon, but at the second look, the bike in motion on the left bottom corner gives good balance for the picture. Cropping would take that impact away.

Now I look again and crop make sense. Sometimes good to have second pair of eyes.
