How'd i do with converting to b&W any c&C or tips would br great

Personally; I think looks way too bright. The subject matter looks to be old, dark, dilapidated farm equipment, yet the conversion makes it very bright.
I did a little PS work on it. If you don't like it, just pm me and I'll take it off. This is what I would do if it were my picture:

Overall they are nice pictures. Again, this is just my interpretation; you do with them what you want ;)!

I agree the conversions are flatter than the gnarlyness of the subject matter demands. I would work in the direction that Air Bronto is suggesting...

I like them darker too. But great compositions.

I like the edit that was done, but #2 has something in the way which ruins it IMHO. :)

Also I hope FREEZE isnt upset... image editing isnt set to ok.
But yes, the added contrast helped a lot!

My attempt at the fireplace... I removed the iron in front, it was a bit distracting....
