C&C welcome, you can't possibly be more harsh than my old poetry teacher :) I desaturated because the green was, well, too green and it highlights the statue better, IMO.

I like this a lot - really a lot. Very nice. Love the desaturation Might be good trying going the other way via infrared?.

How would you do that? When I get home later I'll post the original and let people play with it.

You'd need to shoot it again but with an infrared filter - depending on the light and colour of the leaves they come out white - can be very dramatic.

Ah, I thought you meant it was possible in PS. I thought about getting an IR filter for a while but they aren't cheap and I've been trying to cut down my photo-related spending lately and just go out and shoot. Plus its a 6+ hour drive just to retake a photo :)

oooo - then I'd leave it! This is great as is. I think there are ways of doing it via PS though I'm not sure what. Here's another possible version with darkened top and the leaves probably back to close to the original
