This image was taken with the Canon G3 and the Telephoto Conversion Lens. No Telescope On This Image. I know this is not as good as the shots I have through the telescope, but it is still good for pointing up without a tripod.
ISO 50
Aperture 2.0
Shutter 1/5 sec

Nice picture. Isn't it amazing how little the moon seems on your viewfinder compared to how it looks through your eyes? The optical illusions your eyes face when looking at the heavens is an interesting comment on how limited our perspective truly is.

Nice pic, which teleconverter did you use?

Actually that's a great shot without a tripod! Good job. I'm glad you posted it too, I was wondering how much closer a teleconverter lens would get me. Are you using a Canon lens for this?

I am using the Canon Tele converter TC-DC58N for this shot. Yes, it was done without a tripod. I was laying on the COLD ground supporting the camera with elbows wat out and I breathed very little... This is the best of 120 shots taken this way with different exposure settings and shutter speeds.

AS you got it, did you recommend it??? (talking about TC-Dc58n)

The Canon Tele converter TC-DC58N is a very nice addition to the G3 and is tack sharp.
I also like the WC-DC58N wide angle lens. It is, however, an enormous chunk of glass.
