This picture was taken with a sony Cybershot P92. I had this camera for 2 years and one day it just started doing this. Looks like the chip may have gone bad? Anyone seen anything like it or think they know what it is / how to fix it? (maybe it was a good thing because I got a Rebel XT to replace it, but it was a good carry around for parties and stuff and I would like to keep it)

I can honestly say i've never seen anything like that... is that how it came out of the camera?..

yes, that is how it looks on the screen when shooting, and exactly as it appears when imported into the computer

I've seen this before and I share your displeasure
I bought a Jobo Giga One (a portable hard drive storage unit ) and some of the pics I transfered to it came out looking like this. It was just corrupting some of the files.
In your case I belive the same is happening either in camera or on your memory card (if the camera has one). Try a different card and if this doesn't fix it you'll have to bin the camera or send it to a service center.
Glad you've still got a camera though, Good luck, Dellboy.

Im Meeelllllttttingg!

Looks a corupt file off the card.
Best guess is the memory stick is dead, but you might get away with reformating it.
But, its also possible the camera has suffered a fatal failure, and you know it will be cheaper to buy another one than getting it fixed.
