Gave another go at shooting some macro on the bush in the front yard (been too hectic to make it down to the creek down the road, I'd like to make it down in the early morning, perhaps this weekend)
A little research on the internet has identified these as Milkweed Bugs, though I've been having a tough time getting there proper name. I do know that they are True Bugs.
#1 I was focused on this little guy, when I discovered that he could fly, and landed near the mating couple shown below.
