A 'cropped for flying brass' pic of my dad at the range this past weekend.

He's shooting my Sig P226 .40S&W
I'm shooting with my S3

Nice, I can't tell the caliber but that Sig could be at 226 at 9mm. (The original sights are a dead giveaway).

I like this photo, the brass is certainly right about where you want it, indoor ranges are specially tough to get good pictures from.

The only success I ever had was asking the Armorer -granted it was a weekday's morning- if I could mount a tripod on the other side of the line, he observed while I did, and I then took some self photos shooting my 1911.

But you got the idea, this is a nice shot. Next time, try taking two steps to your right, and two back, and then include the target on the top left corner of the photo. You may not have enough flash power to get it all bright, but you might be able to work it with software later.

If you are looking exclusively for flying brass, you're in the wrong side of the shooter. It is not fun chasing hot cases, but there is a lot of satisfaction when you get one extracting, with a hint of smoke still in it, and slide going back into battery.

Anyhow, everyone came back home safe, and that is important. Keep on posting your photos !!!...

Thanks for the info.

I had some shots on the other side, like you had mentioned - but they were shaky ... didn't get what I wanted from them. This was the best in my group.

My P226 (P226R to be specific) is a .40S&W, not 9mm. ;)
I have the stock sights on the 226 with Hogue wrap around grips. It's primarily a home defense gun (when the M3 is attached).

I also have a P229 in two-tone with Trijicon Night Sights & Hogues, chambered in 9mm... it's my IWB buddy.

My only critique would be to "choke up" a bit more with the left hand. ;) Aw, I'm just kidding. Great pic, really! My shooting pics never really seem to capture the action the way I would like, but that doesn't keep me from trying over and over and over.....
