Has anyone used BuyDig.com for mail order?

Kind of a mixed bag, but far from the worst we've seen. From the complaints I read, it sounds like they're more disorganized than dishonest.

Buydig.com is in New Jersey. I bought a Kodak 4900, before my dSLR days, and had excellent delivery time, however, I only live in Pennsylvania so its not a very far truck ride. Keep in mind that after a period of time, I think it's thirty days, you no longer may send it back to them. You must deal directly with the manufacturer. This is probably true for most online dealers. I would give them four out of five stars on my purchase and would buy from them again.

It has been a year, but I ordered several times from Buydig.com and got what I asked for in fast time. Only thing to watch out with them is they will try to sell you not so necessary accessories, but they will ship what you ask for, so stick to you guns.

I've purchased two cameras and a Tamron lens from them over the past 4 years and have never had a problem. They've never tried to talk me into buying unwanted accessories.

Their shipping rates are at least twice as high as at, say, B&H so watch the bottom line.

I think they are a very good place to shop online. I also know others who have purchased from them too.

I purchased a couple of digital cams from them. Shipping was a little higher than say B&H, but I think that is because they use FEDEX. They will only ship to your credit cards billing address too for security reasons.

I've never experienced them trying to sell me anything other than what I ask for. However, I wouldn't mind if they did as long as they are not pushy about it like some other companies.

I would say go for it.

I too have had a good experience with them. They did try to sell me some accessories for the G3 I was purchasing, but were not real pushy about it. When I said "no thanks" we moved on and finished up the order. From order to Delivery it took 4 days.

I paid (like a fool) $99 to have my 10D shipped overnight with the 28-135 lens. The camera came, but the lens was backordered. They told me on the phone that the lens was in stock.

Now, why would I want overnight shipping on a camera body if the lens was not available?

I cancelled the lens order, and ordered it through B&H. 4 weeks later, my lens showed up from BuyDig. They claimed that I didn't cancel my order.

I had to yell and scream, but I eventually won.

Yeah I bought my 10D from them... plus two lenses. When the camera came with only one lens, I found out that the other lens was backordered even though I had been told on the phone that yes, everything was in stock and would ship the next day.

I complained but it didn't do any good, so I cancelled the order of that one lens and bought the lens thru B&H.

Yep, four weeks later I received a lens from BUYDIG -- at first I thought it was the one I had ordered and then cancelled -- but it was an entirely different lens.

I had to go through four phone conversations and pass emails back and forth before the mess got straightened out. It's not that they're incompetent - it's just that they DON'T CARE.

In summary I would order from them again only if I didn't care when I got what I ordered. I would not try to cancel an order; nor would I try to change anything once it's been ordered -- they just don't care about that kind of stuff. Their prices are for the most part excellent though.

I bought a Canon s50 from them for a friend. I wouldn't get it overnight, its not worth it. Their 2-day/3-day is decent though. Good prices.
