Bit of an abstract one this for me. I wanted to create a simple graphical composition using something common to us all. The light coming through the bathroom blinds was very effective. I managed to attach the handle with some blue tac. Very little Photoshop work here. What do you think?
Regards
Martin Paul.

Nice effect. I like that.
The bonus is you have just reminded me. Must fix the blind in the garage over the weekend. ;)
Cheers

Thumbs Up To:
*BEAUTIFUL! is that enough? The horizontal lines (Blinds) broken up by the tranlucent diagnonal line breaking up the horizontals.
*COLOR! GREAT GREAT GREAT! You have a great dynamic range from dark shadows to highlights (but not blown out) The blue is also great... makes it so smooth.
Thumbs Down To:
*The handle... I would like to see it go from one corner to the other, the tip of the handle is distracting.
Though, overall, it is great, I love abstract shots.

Well this is just plain cool.
I disagree about it crossing the image .. I like that the rod ends in site.. but maybe the cap thingy comes off? (now Im nitpicking only because Arnold drew my eye to the end cap thingy... BUT NOW I KNOW IT'S THERE!)

Barnold not Arnold (ok I am just a jerk)
I was actually thinking that... if it didnt go all the way, I liked it ending if it didnt have a cap. You are starting to make me think that it could be better like that, I just don't know anymore!
But I still think that I would like it to go all the way across (regardless of what CDS says lol) but it really is all a matter of personal prefrence, I think.

Sorry Barnold! :eyes
I suppose if I had looked I might have even come up with Brent?
I have this aversion to symetry that so many others are sticklers for,.
...I realize on the diagonal it would not be "too" symetric.. but by bisecting the image.. the "hint" of symetry that would result would greatly disturb my own sense of dischord! :D

Yup, I am Brent, you are so smart :-)
Well... you used big words, and I dont understand big words, LOL, but yah I see what you are saying... but I like symetry, I can understand where you are coming from, though.
I am one of those people that always color in the lines, though I appreciate it, usually, when people color outside of the line. (Hmm that metaphor didnt work, but it kind of makes sense)
The cap on the end is just too much for me, at least, just distracting, maybe without the cap it would be fine.
Martin Paul (see CDS I use names... even though I couldnt find yours!), just take millions of photos, and we will choose one we like :-)
