Just wondering if any of you had any neat ideas for a white reflector...I have one of the folding circular ones but they are expensive...what could I use for another that would not look too cheap/amaterish
theres white bristle board....

Well here are things inexpensive things that I have found will work nicely. But, I have no concern for the status aspect of photography (your "cheap/amateurish" comment).
All work nicely
Foam core (prone to damage easily)
Heavy cardboard painted white or covered with crinkled aluminum foil
Corrugated plastic* All of these can be carefully cut and taped with white duct tape that makes a nice hinge seam (so they will fold compactly).
* this is my favorite. Corrugated plastic is very popular for ad hoc outdoor signage. It is inexpensive and very rugged. You can scavenge discarded signage and spray paint it white, or visit a larger sign shop and buy it in white stock. It comes in sheets as large as 4 X 8 feet, but you can purchase it in smaller sizes. It typically comes in both 3mm and 5mm thickness. It can be washed when dirty and is very difficult to damage.
Enjoy! Lon

I ALWAYS have a few sheets of black and white foam-core around the studio and when they get a bit tattered the kids use them for making models out of. I have a couple of sheets with silver backed bubble wrap spray glued onto that make a good alternative to the triflector set-up!

Sun reflector for car windshields. My windshield reflector is silver but I know they come in white as well. Works great in a pinch.
