Hey everybody,

I'm new to the forums, I've been having a look around and you all seem to be very friendly and helpful. I'd appreciate any comments and critique you could share with me, and post processing examples are welcome :)

I'm 16 years old, and I use an EOS 350D with kit lens and a Sigma 70-300mm.

#1: Local band, Astronot.

#2: A bug I found by accident, messing around with the new Sigma lens :)

Very nice photos. #1 is very creative. I really like the composition, narrow depth of field in #2.

Welcome to the forum!! I like the first one, like cfcRebel said, it is very creative. Is it photoshopped?
The colors on the bug are awesome! I'd like to see it closer, it is very interesting!

this is a similar one i took in Iraq a couple of years ago. Well my best mate took it but it was my idea and i showed him how to take it so i'm having the credit for it he only pushed the shutter release;), i like yours taken the idea that one step further and managed to get both lenses in without your own reflection. Great effort. Love bug pics that ones a cracker!

It's been tweaked a little - I removed some marks on the skin and myself from the reflection, and sharpened the image.

I took a few shots of the bugs:

Nice shot sm1rf :) I've seen a few shots like ours, I love them.

Thanks for your comments, everyone :D

Almost all of them turned out well :) I wish I had taken more at the time, they're gone now.

Thanks :D

Blody good mate. You are 16? I suggest you stick with it. Very tidy. Looking forward to more posts. :)

I'll definitely stick with it. Probably just as a hobby, but you never know ;)

If you hadn't said that, I would still have been puzzled sm1rf!
