My First Bird Post

I know these are NOT the greatest, but just thought I'd share some of my first bird shots with my 100-400. I tried manually focusing, but think I need alot more practice. I also handheld the camera and know a tripod would have helped alot, but I just love the freedom of carrying the camera off of it. Any c&c's most welcome.

With practice you will get the focus correct even handheld, it took me awhile to get it right. Allow opportunities though to lean against something though to get that shot because even with the most experienced bird photographer, will use something to get that better sharp image.
Congratulation on your new 100-400mm lens and a good start, well done.

Very nice shots.
Now i am so happy that i have a good gears to do alot of these shots, the only very bad obstacle here is: HOT weather. it is HELL. Imagine 41-50 C even at night.

the hot there in USA maybe it is like nice or warm for us.
here the sun is very stong focused on one area and because we are close to the sea so the humidity is very high which is worse than hot.
so how i can take photos in that weather, i don't care taking photos just to show myself or others, i care of myself.
