e24 error code

Has anyone ever received this code when trying to view the LCD screen? Every time I open my screen my camera shuts off and I get this error code E24. PLEASE can someone help me. My LCD screen doesn't work at all!!

This is what I found on the American site of Canon.

Error Code "Exx"

When a camera error occurs, an error code ("Exx") will be displayed.
"E18" indicates a lens/lens barrel error;
"E30"and "E50" indicate a CF card error. Please refer to the items listed below.

When an error code ("Exx") is displayed, turn the camera off and then on again, and then try taking pictures or replaying images again.

If this does not clear the error, or if an error code is displayed frequently, a camera malfunction may have occurred.
Make a note of the error code ("Exx"), and contact the retail store where you purchased the camera or the nearest Canon service center.
