Hi All,

After spending ages using Canons' CameraWindow and ZoomBrowser to download images form a CF card reader I finally had enough of ZoomBrowser. I did try and attempt to get the CameraWindow application to run independently of ZoomBrowser, but it wasn't happening.

So, I've ditched all the Canon software now and gone with DownloaderPro. What a great piece of software. :)

So, I now have my machine setup as follows:

1. Return from shoot and put CF card in CF reader
2. DLPro starts and automatically downloads all the images including renaming and creating new folders for them. Images are then deleted from the card.
3. On compleation, DLPro closes itself down and starts Photoshop CS for me.

Love this, I simple put card in and once PS CS starts, I remove the CF card and put it back into the camera before I start doing my editing. How it should be.

DLPro is very reasonably priced as well.

Cheers

Ian

Yup... and on a USB2.0 or Firewire setup, DLPro is even better! Only thing I do differently is leave the files on the cards until I'm absolutely sure all is downloaded and ready to be backed up. Normally I'm able to do it all in one sitting - that is; d'load the originals, make the backups, then re-format the cards for re-use. Have fun!
