Hi there,
I am trying to determine the field of view in degrees for various focal lengths on the S45. I need to do some perspective-matching of 3D CGI elements to background photos taken with the S45. Knowing the size of the gate would be fine instead, as then I can derive FOV from focal length myself.
35mm equivalent focal length values are all well and good, but Canon's own tech support phone staff gave me a different answer from the printed information in the manual, and neither value is providing good perspective matches, so I'm looking for something more accurate.
Also, I would very much welcome advice from anyone who's written a panotools (or any other) script to strip/replace barrel distortion from S45 images.
