Gary Fairhead Very nice photos here Ted of a very proud looking animal. The young one is adorable. What lens? When did you go? I should check it out ( I have been saying that fo 2 years now) Thanks Gary; There was a small group of about 6 in the area; but could get the Male (In an isolated pen); and the cute cub lying by himself in the shade. Went on Friday the 4th of Aug. (last day of my week off) Kids had the week off of summer camp too; so we did the day trip thing for 3 of the days. Kids really liked it. Raptor show wasn't bad; but no Barn Owl. They showed the Red-tailed Hawk, Great-Horned Owl, Harris Hawk, Peregrin Falcon; and of all things...A Turkey Vulture. had him flying from perch to perch, amazing wing-span; with little effort in flying. It was so hot that day; they kept a number of other birds out of the show (They were in the one 2 hours ealier). ps...Taken with the 100-400mm.
Elisabeth-Ann Great shot, such a beautiful animal. Thanks Elisabeth-Ann; Was my first chance viewing these beautiful animals with out have obstructed views. We all enjoyed seeing them very much.
