Well lately I have been feeling very under the weather, both emotionally and health-wise, so I haven't had much of a chance to plan any photo shoots. I was (and am still currently) feeling rather awful on both counts, however yesterday I did have a bit of fun. My friend Ojen decided to drop by to visit me (and brought his little brother, Ramtin, along). This cheered me up greatly, especially since my hospital visit earlier that morning was humiliating and not very helpful (isn't it lovely when doctors say "We don't know what's wrong with you"?). This shoot was a small one, and considering just how poorly I was feeling all around, I'm rather pleased that the shots came out somewhat to my liking. These aren't all the shots from this shoot, just what I have processed sofar.

Ojen. This one is my favorite shot by far. No special lighting equipment was used, this was all natural lighting.

Kit lens action :) This is still one of my favorite lenses.

More kit lens fun. Ojen and Ramtin in the background.

Yet more kit lens fun (can you tell I like this lens?)

Ojen was just being silly here, and I happened to snap off a quick shot.

One more shot of Ramtin.

This was a fun little shoot, although I admit it was rather hard to concentrate due to all the worrisome throughts running through my mind of what the doctors had said. Bleh. :( atleast for a few hours I had fun.

Fantastic! Excluding the last two (five for the silly pose :p and six... I don't know why, but Ramtin slightly pulling up his jacket really get to me, not to mention the odd position of his belt!), I love them all!

Great poses, handsome models, and so very sharp shots :) If only I could master my 350D like you have!

Great shots! I love the lighting and angles you took them at! The first is my fave...but they are all really cool! Handsome modles too.

Thanks. Yeah, the kit lens is great, and for now it's my budget wide angle until I can get something faster and/or wider. I must have lucked out too because my copy is quite sharp and performs well. And it's not built as cheap as folks think, it's fallen, been dropped, kicked, bumped, etc, and it still works fine. I wish I could say as much for my old Tamron 70-300mm lens, that took one drop off a bed and the focus mechanism broke. It was replaced with my 70-200mm f/2.8L though so I don't miss it. :)
