Number of exhibitions?

Is there a maximum number of exhibitions that EE can have? As well, is there a maximum number of images?

Also, is there a setting to control how many exhibitions are displayed on the gallery index? I have several exhibitions uploaded and I would like to only have a few selected exhibitions initially visible on the gallery index.

You can put a password on the exhibitions you don't want to display.

Yes, and than read the link for the password protected gallery and create a nice list with links to this kind of galleries in the news section.

Is there not a way to only show selected exhibitions without password protecting them. I would like to have all exhibitions stay public.

I'm just trying to trim down the number of exhibitions that show up on the gallery index.

Groups could work but the indexstyle I've chosen to match up to our main site in #6 and the only group index available has the news to the right instead of below. If Pekka were to create a group index that was consistent with indexstyle#6, then groups could work OK.

There are some other issues with groups that I don't like, so I would prefer to find another way of only displaying selected exhibitions.
- the thumbs are to the right instead of below the text. For consistency, it would be nice to have one or the other or at least a choice.
- the remaining non grouped exhibitions are listed as unsorted. I'm sure I could change the word unsorted in the language file, but the unsorted exhibitions get listed below in one long list. If the unsorted exhibitions were in a pop-up list like on the "list" index, then the gallery index would be less cluttered.

A random, latest, or most popular feature like that used for thumbs, would be ideal. Since you could also set how many exhibitions to show.

I'm sure these feature requests would require way to much work for Pekka to tackle at this time, so I'm looking for some suggestions from the forum members.
