EE is not consistantly calculating the FOV crop/Focal Length Multiplier value correctly for camera.
Example: in multieditor-->edit camera for a Canon 10D, and entry of the focal length multiplier of 1.6 results in the correct calculation and display in the photo details view of a shot with that camera listed... ie. 100mm (160mm @ 35mm equivalent)
but...
when I add a camera, the Canon S50, and put it's multiplier at 4.9 in the multieditor --> camera form, then add a shot with it, the photo details are inaccurate. ie. a shot taken at 21.3mm (the max zoom on an S50) should have a 35mm equivalent of about 105mm, but EE displays this as 34mm @ 35mm equivalent.
Obviously, a workaround is to leave the mulitplier at 1 and calculate the 35mm equivalent before you enter the focal length in the focal length form, but this seems to defeat the purpose of having the extra entry area.
has anyone else hd this problem? I'm running EE1.22
Thanks,
Clayton
