i just got a canon s400, and i was at a concert and got some cool video clips, but i cant figure out how to upload the video files to my computer. The manual was of no help, and i tried just messing around with different softare, but maybe im just too dumb.
thanks for any help.

Is this really a problem? When you bought your camera, you also should have received a CD-rom with it. You just use the same program that you use to upload photos to your PC from the camera.

no, its not a problem. the software that came with it didnt help at all. it did with uploading the pics. After playing with it and messing around on my computer, i figured it out.
When plugged in, the camera makes its own drive, similar to the C: drive or D: or whatever. if you just look around in there you can transfer it. i was just stuck thinking that the software it came with would have the uploader, which it didnt. problem solved either way.
thanks!

I have an IXUS400 and as Carl says, you can upload movies from the camera to your PC using the same Canon-supplied software (Zoombrowser ?) that you use to upload your pics (once the camera is connected with the supplied USB lead) in EXACTLY the same way !
There is absolutely no need to start messing around in Explorer...
