I just recently get my new Mac Book Pro with aperture installed from Apple, the problem is that Aperture seems to compress files on a folder were you cannot view with a regular viewer, for example on WinXP I got all my pics on a folder which I use with Adobe Elements to manage and edith the photos and also can view fast with the WinXP viewer, but with aperture even if is a great program I cannot find my photos to post it on the forum I have to export it every time.
Is there any one working with Aperture and can share some tips on managing the photos the eazy way so I can manage, edith and view my photos without exporting anything from one program to another?
Thanks!

This is how aperture works. Everything is stored in one big honking database. You CAN see the raw files if you want but simply opening the package. All it is is a folder with special permissions.
Not sure why you spent $500 on a program if you want to ignore what is possibly it's strongest organizational features however.

Well, I just get Aperture on the package with the Mac Book Pro, I pay only $99.00 because I work in a non profit organization, but seems that I will back to Adobe Elements instead of Aperture, since they didn't make this option available on this version.
Even with Adobe elemnts you only drag and drop the file from one aplication to another, I really don't know why Aperture didn't do this.
What a shame!!

It doesn't do this, because it's a professional level application to catalog tens of thousands of photographs that a working photographer needs to keep track of.
It is clearly not what you are in need of. You will probably be much happier with the applications you are used to.
Also, I have no idea of what "option" you are speaking of, I explained how you can see the photos in the aperture Db folder.

yamezbond: surely you'd have to resize your images to post on forums anyway so in a sense Aperture makes it easier to do as you can create a preset for your exports specifically for forum posting
