I am at a mountain biking event where it was VERY dusty for 2 days and then wet for 2 days. Today my camera was flipping out, Error99 a bunch, and then the shutter would freak out and click a bunch, and sometimes get stuck. I am pretty sure I have around 40k clicks. What is happening? It has happened to me before but not this bad. Should I just let the camera dry out? or does it need service? or new camera time?

Water and electronics don't mix very well. I'd remove all the batteries from the camera (including the date time battery), put the camera in a dry place (perhaps with some dessicant bags) and wait a couple of days. It may need service, or it may be new camera time. But you definitely need to get the power off the camera until it's dry.

$180 to fix it, just an estimate though, it includeds fixing it, cleaning sensor, calibrating, shutter count, and replacing serial number rub off
