Whoever wrote that never spent any time on this forum. I don't see the market shrinking anytime soon. :)

I bet that the SLR market has always been (and will continue to be) a different market than the P&S. We will probably see declining prices in the latter market like it happened with film P&S. I doubt that it will affect the SLR market in the near (not very near) future.

Prices on bodies are going down actually(take the 30D for example. you can have it for near 1200[body only] with shipping. Its the glass that hasn't though.
